- CWPro4 is the final release of the Metrowerks Java Virtual Machine.
-
- All the stationery & java examples on CWPro4 are set to use Apple's MRJ
- as the JVM. MRJ is also the 'Factory Settings' default JVM.
-
- If your java application / applet is set to use the MW JVM, it's
- recommended to now switch to using MRJ. MRJ 2.1a1 is fast & supported.
- The MRJ-Dev mailing list is a good place to go to get lots of pointers &
- information about using MRJ. <http://www.apple.com/java>
-
- Metrowerks Java (the MacOS java hosting application) will not support
- the MW JVM in the next release to reduce legacy code & support time.
- This will allow more time to be given to supporting MRJ even better.
-
- The Java MacOS Post Linker will not have the 'MW Standalone' in the next
- release. The JBindery solution is the preferred way of creating double-
- clickable java interpreted applications on MacOS.
-
- The next release of CWPro should have better support of JBindery java
- applications in the IDE's Run/Debug process.
